There are those who feel that bikes have become too much a manifestation of vanity and that they have become complicated beyond reason.
This Nelson J128, finished in red powder coating, has been built with practically (Perhaps a return to sanity) in mind, benefiting from the quality of shift, that Shimano have engineered into their SIS sprockets and chainrings, whilst retaining the simplicity and flexibility of friction shifting (This can also be enjoyed with Dia Compe ENE bar end shifters). With fully external cables, maintenance could not be simpler. At present, running 3 X 8, it could easily be converted to 3 X 9 and benefits from the longevity of a wider chain.
