Chainrings for Shimano road double chainsets are 130mm PCD.

The rings are located by 5 chainring bolts.

They are split into Types ''A or B'' according to the size of inner chainring.

Type ''A'' inner chainrings have 42 teeth, whilst Type ''B'' inner chainrings have 39.

Outer chainrings should be matched to the inner ring type in order to maintain maximum shifting efficiency.
